Connecting Through Aspergers: A Group for Youth Coping with Aspergers
CONNECTING THROUGH ASPERGERS:A Group for Youth Coping with Aspergers Disorder
This 9-week group program is designed to help youth identify their feelings and coping skills while improving their self-esteem. It will also provide a focus on social skills and building friendships. Youth will learn how to better equip themselves for daily stressors they commonly experience.
Children most likely to benefit from participation in this group:
*are 9-12 years old;
*have been diagnosed with Aspergers Disorder or a Pervasive Developmental Disorder
The group will meet on Mondays from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. in the Group Room at Central MN Mental Health Center in Monticello. A start-date will be determined based upon enrollment numbers. This series is a “closed group,” meaning all members begin and complete the group sessions together during a 9-week series. Please view attached flyer for more information!
