Field Interviewer for Family-Based Research
STARS for Children’s Mental Health is interviewing candidates to assist in its goal to improve the delivery of services to children and their families in Benton, Sherburne, Stearns and Wright Counties.
Job Description:
The Field Interviewer will meet with clients in their homes to collect information regarding their experience in the children’s mental health system. Hours are part-time and flexible, based on client availability.
Activities:
- Contact clients to schedule interviews
- Conduct in-person interview. Enter client responses using laptop computer
- Maintain professional, confidential, and cooperative client relationships
- Effectively answer client questions and address concerns
- Submit all project documents and reporting forms timely and accurately
- Ensures that the data collected are of the highest possible quality
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively, appropriately, and professionally with clients and coworkers
- Ability to work a varied schedule up to 15 hours per week; days, evenings and weekend hours
- Ability to carefully and consistently follow prescribed, scientific interviewing methods
- Experience using a computer
- Responsible, highly detailed and organized; able to exercise good judgment
- Ability to transport laptop computer and materials weighing 20 pounds or more
- Dependable, insured vehicle and Valid Class D driver’s license (mileage reimbursed)
Desired Qualification:
- Experience working with or providing care for youth with emotional and behavioral disorders
- Experience with interviewing activities, customer service, or appointment scheduling
- Knowledge of ethical and legal guidelines governing confidentiality in healthcare settings
- Knowledge of social service delivery systems
