STARS Committees
For the children’s mental health system to change, everyone has to work together. STARS has developed committees that help give everyone a voice. Whether it is a youth who wants to be heard, a parent with frustrations and concerns or a professional who wants to make a difference, STARS’ committees are here to get people working together for an important cause—children’s mental health.
Committees STARS committees help give you a voice. They allow you to become an active change agent for the children’s mental health system. Committees include:
- Parent Voices – Committed to involving parents in full partnership with the system of care community while providing support for each other.
- Communications – Develop and implement a comprehensive social marketing and communications strategy.
- Evaluation – Assess information that will drive decisions regarding the system of care.
- Comprehensive Assessment – Develop timely comprehensive assessments, which include psychiatric and psychological evaluations.
- Cultural Competency – Identify and develop cultural competency strategies for system of care implementation.
- Training Committee - Identify and coordinate mental health trainings/workshops in the four county area.
- Practice Improvement Commitee - Working to identify barriers, improve quality of care and evaluate children's mental health services.
